Chelsea Hammond ~ What a Character!

Ever found a teenager hiding in your barn? Um, not making out, but actually hiding? The cowering in a stall, brandishing a pitchfork, kind of hiding?

Yeah, that’s what I thought.

Hi, I’m Chelsea Hammond. An ordinary woman with dreams budding in my heart and grief choking me from my past. But it’s time to move on, to push toward the dreams and let go of the past. That’s what I hoped to do by opening Journey’s End, a shelter for troubled teens, in honor of my late husband.

Did you catch that? Hoped? Because I didn’t expect my first arrival, Jake, to be the son of my husband’s murderer, scared and running for his life. Or to call in the marshals office because Jake wants to testify against his father. And who shows up? Trey Colten. The guy in charge of the undercover operation that killed my husband. Trey claims his job is to protect me. Ha! God definitely has a sense of humor!

If Trey thinks I’m going to sit around and twiddle my thumbs waiting for Jake’s father to show up, he’s mistaken. I don’t need his protection. And although I may be ready for another relationship, especially with a guy who helps with the dishes and feeds my animals, it won’t be with another law enforcement officer. Or will it? Did I mention he makes killer hot chocolate?

I hope you enjoyed meeting Chelsea Hammond from Journey’s End. To check out the fabulous reviews or to purchase Journey’s End, please visit  White Rose Publishing or Amazon.

HEARTS COMMUNION by Marianne Evans

Jeremy “JB” Edwards dreams of one thing: Having a loving wife and children of his own. Not a surprising ambition, since he was raised at the heart of a large, tight-knit family.

Monica Kittelski spends her days at Sunny Horizons Daycare Center pouring her heart and faith into other people’s children. But Monica harbors one impossible dream: Having children of her own someday.

JB and Monica seem the perfect match, but what will come of their electric, sassy relationship when Jeremy learns of Monica’s infertility?

Hopes and reality collide when they must confront the idea of finding God’s plan and following His will when a dearest hope is destined to remain unfulfilled.
Can these two loving, passionate hearts survive a communion of dreams and reality?

Sound sweet? Yep, thought so. You can purchase HEARTS COMMUNION at White Rose Publishing.

Hearts Crossing is her first inspirational romance and marks her debut at White Rose Publishing.

A resident of suburban Detroit, she’s happily married with two kids and a family that never fails to support and encourage. THE COVERING by Dana Pratola

What do a woman of faith and a heathen biker have in common? The devil, of course.
Tessa is moved to intercede for a man she’s never met. When they do meet, she’s stunned. Gunnar is gorgeous, charismatic, and driven. He’s also hostile, self-destructive, and an unbeliever…and she’s drawn to him like no other. The temptation she feels is as dangerous as it is alluring. She wants to stay away, but God has other plans. He reveals the devil’s intent to destroy Gunnar and commissions Tessa to keep him covered in prayer. Can she rely on God to keep her from falling…in love, and into temptation? Or will the devil claim them both?

Oh, Dana, The Covering sounds “tempting.” And what a beautiful cover. Tell us a little about you. What does a normal workday look like for you?
Dana:  There’s no such thing as a “normal” workday for me. My husband has a flexible schedule and I try to work around him so we can spend time together walking in the woods, grabbing reading glasses from the dollar store, etc. (he never seems to have enough glasses). I work every chance I get, some days that’s more than others.

Are you a plotter or a pantser?
Dana:  I start with a particular scene in mind, then write an overview. I guess you can tell from my last answer that I lack discipline, LOL, and calling it an outline sounds too structured. I stick to the general direction, but the story is always likely to veer.

What are some of your favorite things to do when you’re not writing? Least favorite?
Dana:  When I’m not writing (or sifting the spinning eyeglass racks) I’m reading. Not just books, often it’s writer’s sites, posts, links… Lord, the links! There’s just too much to click on out there! But I didn’t realize until recently how many words I read in a day.

I love walking and being outdoors. And I love horseback riding but it’s not often I get to go, usually my birthday and Mother’s Day.

My least favorite thing to do is clean the stove top. I cook almost every night so it has to be cleaned a lot. Now that I think about it, cooking is my least favorite thing 😉

If you had a Friday night all to yourself, what would you do?
Dana:  Probably cry because I would think I’d been abducted by aliens. Sorry, that was my first thought. I’d like to say I would write but would most likely watch the Twilight movies back to back. Ah, romance.

Where can readers find your books? Do you have a website, blog, etc.?
Dana:  Sure, my site is http://www.danapratola.webs.com/ where you can read an excerpt of The Covering, and you can buy it at http://www.whiterosepublishing.com/
