Winter is the time for…what?
Nothing beats a bowl of chili (or insert your favorite soup) to warm up a belly on a cold, blustery night. And I can’t think of any other wintertime activity I enjoy more than hunkering inside, hanging out with hubby in front of a warm fire. I don’t even mind the time change, where darkness sets in by five thirty or six in the evenings. That just means more time to read or graze on Hallmark movies. lol.
By the time spring rolls around and the temps heat up, I’ll be ready for the extra hour of daylight.
What’s your favorite aspect of winter? Least favorite?
“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.” Edith Sitwell
As Winter Winds Blow…
So true, isn’t it? If we never struggled through difficult times, we’d never know peace. If we never lacked, we might not ever be satisfied with plenty. Just as the winter winds begin to blow, spring will come again.
Happy FiRSt DaY oF wINter!
