“No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace as I have seen in one autumnal face.” ~John Donneย
Autumn is my absolute favorite season, hands down. At least, that’s what I say every year around this time. After the dead of summer smacks me in the face every time I step outside, leaving me yearning for a tinge of cool air instead of the muggy oppression. When football clips take over the sports news and hubby starts asking for pumpkin spice cream in his coffee. When my arms grazes a scarf in my closet and I’m tempted to wear it even though the weather app shows ninety-eight degrees. When the grandkiddos complain and tick off the days until the first day back to school. When summer pool toys disappear in the stores and Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations take over.
Oh yeah. Fall is right around the corner and I cannot wait. Bring on Autumn! ๐
What’s your favorite season?
I’m so ready too, Tori! I love both fall and spring. It seems as though in the past couple of years, we’ve gotten cheated on both, going from hot to cold and vice versa with not much of the nice temps in between. Have a great day! xo

I agree! I love to sleep with the windows open, but it does seem like the span to do that has shrunk considerably. Maybe this year we’ll catch a break. Happy Wednesday, Jill! ๐

Fall is definitely my fave, too. You have no idea how much I missed it when I lived in Florida for over two decades. Sometimes I’d even tear-up when Autumn arrived and it was still a blanketing 92 degrees. I’m so glad to be back in the north again. The trees should be starting to change soon. Raising my mug to you and our favorite season. ๐

Lori!! You lived in FL? We moved to NC from FL for that very reason. I felt drained all the time from the heat. Great to cyber meet you, and happy fall! ๐

Good choice to move out of FL and to NC. We used to vacation there often when we lived in FL. We moved back to be near family and my sick mom in the Chicago burbs. Nice to meet you, too. ๐
