Losing weight is NOT easy!
When I first saw Que in the shelter, he’d already shed 30 pounds from the time his owners surrendered him four months prior. Thirty pounds in four months! And in just a little over a month, since we’ve had him, he’s lost almost ten more! He lives for his half cup of food two times a day and…
FROZEN GREEN BEANS
Can you imagine? His favorite treat is frozen green beans. He doesn’t care for them thawed, though. lol. And if I still have another closed tight in my hand, he knows it! Can you blame him?

He’s worked hard. The shelter enlisted the help of the community and volunteers offered to walk him. Now, at our house, every time we go outside for a potty break, we make several laps around the house. In the evenings, he rides to the park where he gets a change of scenery for…you guessed it, more walking.

Our big fella. Still another 30 to go.
Losing weight is NOT easy.
I can relate. I was active in sports into my 20’s. After two kids and working at a sedentary desk job, forty pounds found their way around my hips and waist. With the Atkins diet, I lost those forty pounds, but it’s been a real struggle to keep the weight off. Like a teeter totter going up and down, up and down.
Maybe with all this walking, I might drop a few pounds too. Even so, they’ll probably find their way back again. lol.
What’s your pet’s favorite treat? Do you struggle with maintaining a healthy weight? What’s helped you?
Que looks so healthy, and we won’t talk about my weight. π¦ My SIL used to feed her dog green beans.

Other than his weight, the vet was amazed at how healthy he is and the light has really come back into his eyes. You look great, Sandy! Can’t wait to see you next week. π

Gracie’s favorite treat is a dog biscuit. She lives for them. And yes, if I forget, she is faithful to remind me!

Probably goes to the place where you store them and gives you the stink eye, right? lol. Happy Wednesday, Gail!

Yes! She doesn’t bark. She just sits there staring. Loudly. LOL

Aw…he’s looking quite svelte! That’s funny he likes frozen green beans. I love beans too, but I’ve never tried them frozen. In order to keep my head on straight, I work out every day…so far, it’s helped me maintain a normal weight. xo

Lol, I’ve never eaten frozen green beans, either. Ick. I admire you for working out every day, Jill. That takes tremendous discipline and motivation. I really must get better about that. Happy Wednesday, sweet friend. π
